Caduceo#1
Palazzo Carminati, Venice
Bevilacqua la Masa Foundation
2009
Caduceo is the result of a process where several sheets of A3 paper soaked in wax, after having “lifted” parts of the surface of the floor, are installed on the adjacent wall to create a continuous of colour and textures in the room, while a drill tip planted in porphyry stone and laid on the floor is activated by a drill attached to the ceiling. The two elements, even separated, share the movement, turning simultaneously.
Wax, A3 papers, fragments of flooring, drill, drill tip, porphyry
